The need for a new is on  the rise in Ontario these days as there are lots of buildings coming up not only  in Ontario but in Canada as a whole that either has an elevator or an escalator for transportation of passengers to various floors inside the buildings. The primary job of a new elevator escalator design engineer is to design the work and the elevator and to suggest the best elevator that will be suitable for a particular building after thoroughly going through the space allotted for putting up the elevator or the escalator. The installation of the elevators is one of the primary responsibilities of the new elevator design engineer.

Maintenance of elevators
Nowadays, the new elevator design engineers are also required to carry out maintenance jobs for the elevators installed at big commercial buildings where the safety and security of the passengers are most important. Periodic maintenance work has to be carried out by the engineer in order to ensure the smooth functioning of these elevators. It is now important for the elevator design engineers to know the repair work of brake system, gear lock as well as the service of the machines that detect the overload on the motor.
